Summary:
|
Staff requests authorization to ratify submission for a Keller Mitigation Grant to District V (Bay Point and Pittsburg) to purchase Tower gardens for Rio Vista Elementary, Shore Acres Elementary and Riverview Middle Schools. The Tower gardens will provide hands on learning to facilitate nutrition and science education during the school day. Funding will pay for up to thirteen Tower Gardens for the schools. If awarded, the grant will provide $10,000 for one year.
