MDUSD is in receipt of negotiated bid documents for, “1800-b Restroom Renovations Summer 2018 at Pleasant Hill Middle”. MDUSD is awarding this contract Pursuant to Public Contract Code §22038(2)(c) allowing a negotiated contract when no bids are received. On May 21, 2018, the District school board authorized under Education Code §17604 authority to the Superintendent to enter into a contract for the scope contained in this Invitation to Negotiate, (business item 18.19). District staff has evaluated this negotiated bid and find it comparable in pricing to this year’s restroom bids.
This project is part of Group 4 Modernization originally approved by the Board on 5/18/2015. By executing this document, MDUSD is entering into a contract with Hung Construction Building Inc. for the negotiated work titled, “1800-b Restroom Renovations Summer 2018 Pleasant Hill Middle”, for the scope and provisions contained within the negotiated documents for a base bid total of $726,000.00.
