Summary
:
Ascend Rehab is a Non-Public Agency (NPA) that provides Speech / Language Pathology Services and Occupational Therapy for school based services that are identified on Individual Education Plans (IEP's). When the district (MDUSD) is not able to fill all open positions with district employees, the use of contract agencies is necessary to ensure that we are in compliance with state and federal law that govern special education. Ascend Rehab is a company that will be utilized to provide Speech and Occupational Therapy Services to ensure that all of our needed Speech / Occupational Therapy Services are covered for the 2019-2020 school year. MDUSD Personnel Department and Special Education continues to recruit and hire district employees.

Fiscal Impact
:
