Summary: Staff requests authorization to ratify submission of the Turnaround Arts grant for Wren Avenue Arts Magnet School. Turnaround Arts: California helps connect eligible partner schools with regional arts networks, including community arts organizations, teaching artists, arts and cultural institutions, performance venues, professional learning experts, and higher education professionals in order to build community support systems that lead to sustainable change. There are currently 16 turnaround arts schools statewide, one of them being Meadow Homes Elementary. This is a three year grant for up to $35,000 over 2018-2020.
Funding: Turnaround Arts-California Grant
Fiscal Impact The grant is for up to $35,000 over three years (year 1-$15,000, year 2-$10,000, and year 3-$10,000).
Recommendation: Approve ratification of the submission of the Turnaround Arts Grant for Wren Avenue Arts Magnet School.
