Summary: MDAE requests approval by the MDUSD Governing Board to execute an Inter-agency Contract Agreement Amendment (#19-745-13) with CCC-EHSD for employment-search training and services (known as “Career Connections”) for Welfare-to-Work (WTW) participants of the California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids Program (CalWORKs), to be added to the current work-readiness training FOCUS Program currently being provided WTW (CalWORKs) participants by MDAE.

The Inter-Agency Contract Agreement by and between CCC-EHSD and MDAE for the FOCUS Program currently operating and training WTW participants of CalWORKs, was approved by the MDUSD Governing Board on August 13, 2018, for the term of July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019, for the total cost of $53,000.

The Contract Agreement Amendment for the additional employment-search training and services (“Career Connections”) for WTW (CalWORKs) participants is to be effective April 1, 2019 through June 30, 2019 and will add $15,981.84 to the original Inter-Agency Contract Agreement (19-745-11) amount of $53,000, for an amended total of $68,981.84.
Funding: Not Applicable.
Fiscal Impact There is no impact to the General Fund.
Recommendation: Approve the contract agreement amendment between Contra Costa County Employment Human Services Department (CCC-EHSD) and Mt. Diablo Adult Education (MDAE).
