Summary: A textbook review committee was convened to identify instructional materials to support the Board adopted courses American Sign Language ASL I, II, III. The committee reviewed these textbooks and is recommending Signing Naturally Units 1-6 and Units 7-12, Signing Naturally 2, and Signing Naturally 3 (DawnSignPress). These textbooks align with the World Language Content Standards and include excellent visuals, including pictures, illustrations, tables, and other figures to support the content of the courses. Supplemental materials include digital resources for use by both students and teachers.

These textbooks have been on display at the Willow Creek Center lobby since March 25th and will continue to be on display through April 22nd.
Funding: Lottery funds 3735
Fiscal Impact There is no impact to the general fund.
Recommendation: This item is being presented for information and will return for Board action on April 22, 2019.
