Summary
:
In February 2004, the Board of Education approved Resolution #03/04-47 authorizing District use of the Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act.
By utilizing procedures outlined in UPCCAA (Section 22000 et seq. of the Public Contract Code), the District will reduce the lead time required on construction projects of less than $175,000. The UPCCAA bid process reduces small project lead time by 25 to 30 days. Utilization of the act will result in overall savings on total project costs.
