Summary: Wren Avenue Elementary is a magnet school for the arts and is seeking approval to continue with The Integrated Learning Specialist Program with the Alameda County Office of Education. This program prepares teachers more practical experience and provides creative strategies for students to deepen academics while expressing themselves artistically. This program is presented in three parts, A, B and C. Part A was presented in August 2018, part B is scheduled for June 2019, and part C is to be scheduled in June 2020. Training is being provided on non-student days. The total cost of the program is $15,000 for each part and therefore Board approval is required.
Funding: 0930 - LCFF Targeted Supplemental Grant
Fiscal Impact Total of $45,000 with $30,000 payable in the 2018-19 school year and $15,000 in the 2019-20 school year.
Recommendation: Approve the contract between Mt. Diablo Unified School District - Wren Avenue Elementary and Alameda County Office of Education.
