Summary:
|
Tamara Helfer, DBA Sequoia Science Education, will work as project coordinator for the MDUSD NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards) in the Garden program for 5 elementary schools - Bancroft, El Monte, Fair Oaks, Mt. Diablo, and Sequoia Elementary Schools. Duties include: Coordinating all aspects of the garden education programs, overseeing hiring of garden educators at school sites, developing scope and sequence of NGSS in the Garden lessons and curriculum, provide ongoing professional development career exploration components of program, and continuing interaction with other entities supporting NGSS development, including but not limited to Life Lab, Edible Schoolyard, Education Outside, Center for Eco literacy. Program will be evaluated by UC Davis researchers.
