Summary:
|
In February 2004, the Board of Education approved Resolution No. 03/04-47, initially authorizing the District’s use of the Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act.
By utilizing procedures outlined in CUPCCAA (Public Contract Code, Section 22000 et seq.), the District can benefit in reducing the lead time for public works projects of $200,000.00 or less, and also decreases bid processing costs. CUPCCAA bid process reduces small project lead time by 25 to 30 days. CUPCCAA also simplifies the procedures for the authorization of any needed emergency work. Utilization of the act will result in overall savings on total project costs.
