Summary: The Carl Gellert and Celia Berta Gellert Foundation Grant for Crossroads will support teen parents and implementation of the early childhood literacy program, Smart Moms Read. The Smart Moms Read program, supports teen parents in strengthening literacy skills to foster a love of reading and ability to read to their children. The requested grant funds of $16,500 will be applied to the three areas of this project - staff costs, software renewal, books and journals.
