Summary:
|
This annual funding grant supports instruction of students by providing supplementary funding for the purchase of supplementary instructional materials and supplies, expanded support(s) for the scheduling and management of classes, field trip expenses, additional staff development, and childcare for the children of adults attending classes.

There is no impact on the General Fund. This grant brings approximately $350,000 to $700,000 in revenue (based on benchmark achievement and availability of federal funds, to be announced sometime after the start of the 2016-2017 school year and after submission of annual student outcomes data in August 2016) to Mt. Diablo Adult Education’s English as a Second Language (ESL), Adult Basic Education (ABE), Adult Secondary Education (ASE), High School Equivalency (HSE), and Adults with Disabilities (AWD) programs to carry out grant specifications.
