Summary: Request for Qualification (RFQ) #1827 was called to provide Unleaded Gasoline and Diesel Fuel District-wide. Mt. Diablo Unified School District maintains a fleet of vehicles in excess of 249 which use unleaded gasoline and diesel fuel. This fleet composition consists of automobiles, both large and small; large trucks; school buses; and heavy motorized equipment.

The contract period will be effective from July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020 with two (2) one year options to renew for the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 fiscal years (July 1st – June 30th).

The District received three (3) responses to RFQ #1827 on April 30, 2019, to supply our gasoline and diesel fuel needs. Upon review of relevant factors, including but not limited to price, and product availability it was determined that Merrimac Petroleum, Inc., dba Merrimac Energy Group was the most responsive, responsible bidder.

Recommendation: Approve the award of Request for Qualification for Unleaded Gasoline and Diesel Fuel for the District to Merrimac Petroleum, Inc. dba Merrimac Energy Group.
