Summary: On August 13, 2018, the Board of Education awarded Bid #1800b to Hung Construction Builder, Inc., in the amount of $726,000.00 for the provision of all tools, materials, labor, and equipment necessary to facilitate the Pleasant Hill Middle School Restroom Renovation. This project is in Group IV, Board approved funding on 05/18/2015.

During demolition and construction, it was discovered that the following additional work was required:
1. New access doors and a new main shut off valve due to the age and deterioration of the existing materials.
2. Window trim replacement to accommodate new materials due to deterioration of existing material.
3. Upgrading to stainless steel trim was requested by the district due to improved durability and to extend the life of the materials.
4. Mold remediation was required to remove mold discovered during construction.
5. Additional asbestos removal cost. Additional asbestos was discovered during demolition that was not identified pre-construction.
6. A sewer line hydro scrub was required to prevent sewage backup. The existing infrastructure line was congested.
7. Restroom partition panel personalized engraving.

The final change order will result in a contract value of $737,409.91, an increase of $11,409.91, which is an increase of 1.57% of the original contract.

Fiscal Impact $11,409.91 within budget; no additional funds needed
