Summary
:
Beyond the Words is a non-public agency (NPA) that provides Sign Language Interpreter Services for school based services that are identified on Individual Education Plans (IEP's). When the district (MDUSD) is not able to fill all open positions with district employees, the use of contract agencies is necessary to ensure that we are in compliance with state and federal law that govern special education. Beyond the Words is a company that will be utilized to provide Sign Language Interpreter Services to ensure that all of our needed Services are covered for the 2018-2019 school year. Beyond the Words will be used to fill open interpreter positions and cover after school events. MDUSD Personnel Department and Special Education continues to recruit and hire district employees.
