Summary:

In April 2017, the District became aware of a potential trip hazard at Riverview Middle. This triggered an investigation of all walk paths throughout the district where many more potential trip hazards were identified at Hidden Valley Elementary, Meadow Homes Elementary, Mountain View Elementary, Sequoia Elementary, Silverwood Elementary, Pleasant Hill Middle, Sequoia Middle, Mt. Diablo High, and Loma Vista Adult School. For the health and safety of our students, staff and all others, it was determined that immediate action was necessary to correct these hazards. Precision Concrete was available and specializes in the type of concrete cutting required to make the corrections to District walk paths.
Precision Concrete Grinding performs GPS assisted assessments of all raised concrete tripping hazards. They have been grinding down all areas 1” and less, grinding the raise back at ¼” per foot of slope which puts us in compliance with ADA.
