Summary:

Since the passage of the 1992 California Charter Schools Act, the number of publicly-funded, and privately-operated charter schools has grown rapidly. Resolution No. 18/19-62, reflects Mt. Diablo Unified's support for a moratorium on expansion, greater fiscal transparency, and strengthening oversight in governance and practice of charter schools.
