Summary: Mt. Diablo High School's International Hospitality and Tourism Academy is requesting a revision to the Portland trip previously approved on January 18, 2019. The trip is now scheduled for April 24-28, 2019. Eighteen students and 2 chaperones will be traveling by plane and staying at a local hotel. During their stay in Portland, they will visit colleges, a local farm, Farmer's markets, Museums, Nike Headquarters and a local high school and elementary schools that have culinary programs.
Funding: Through fundraising and parent donations. The trip is anticipated to cost $10,000 and all expenses will be paid by Mt. Diablo High School's Home Economic and Food & Science Education accounts.
