Consortium MOU - Adult Education.pdf
Summary: Mt. Diablo Unified School District Secondary and Adult Education programs seek Board approval to submit applications for 2016-2017 funding through Carl D. Perkins Vocational and Applied Technology. Funds are supplemental for district-wide career technical education.

The secondary allocation will be approximately $230,760 and Adult Education allocation will be approximately $15,000 to $30,000, based upon the Consortium Fiscal Agent (Martinez Adult Education, Martinez USD) final allocation to Consortium members.

Mt. Diablo Adult Education is required to continue as part of a Consortium of Contra Costa and Alameda County adult schools since MDAE’s allocation is less than $50,000, and also requests Board approval to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and Assurances per the attached for this purpose.
Funding: Carl D. Perkins Vocational and Applied Technology Education Act Funds
Fiscal Impact There is no cost to the General Fund or to the Adult Education Fund. No matching funds are required.
Recommendation: Approve the submission for and acceptance of Carl D. Perkins funds for the 2016-2017 school year and for Mt. Diablo Adult Education to continue its participation in the Consortium and enter into a Consortium MOU.
