Summary:
The purpose of the Early Return to Work (RTW) Program is to provide transitional work assignments which will promote recovery while continuing to value the employee. MDUSD strives to assist employees to return to work at the earliest possible date following an industrial injury or illness.

The intent of the transitional work assignment is not to establish new jobs or to displace employees. Instead, it is a way the District can accomplish tasks and duties which normally would not be done because of a lack of time, personnel, or funds while giving the injured employee the opportunity to work.
