Summary: High school science teacher representatives from sites across the district met and reviewed the print and online materials for our science elective courses. These courses include Physiology and Environmental Science. Teams met in course alike groupings to discuss their findings and determine which materials would support our diverse student needs. The Physiology team is recommending "Essentials of Human Anatomy and Physiology" 13th edition by Marieb and Keller and published by Savvas and the Environmental Studies team is recommending "Environmental Science: Your World, Your Turn" by Withgott and published by Savvas. This contract includes textbooks, digital licensing, teacher materials and teacher professional development. Support materials are provided for students with learning differences and emerging bilingual students.
