MDUSD Career Pathways requests approval for Danya Townsend, Olympic High School (OHS) to attend Big Bang, Big Picture Learning's annual conference on student-centered learning, from July 21-July 24, in Providence Rhode Island.
OHS partnered with Big Picture Learning to help support, among other initiatives, the implementation of the Consumer Services pathway at OHS. Big Picture Learning is supporting the development of the pathway courses and the internship framework that will be used to support pathway students. Participation in this conference is part of the contract with Big Picture Learning, PO 253403. Airfare, hotel and conference registration was included in the contract. Remaining costs, ground travel and food, will be covered by K12 SWP Grant.
