Summary: Review and potential approval of additional and updated work-site agreements for Student Internships for Mt. Diablo Unified School District students. The five new worksite agreements include; La Clinica De La Raza, Junior Achievement, Concord Historical Society, East Bay CPR, and the City of Concord. Over the past 5 years, MDUSD has focused on expanding students’ college and career readiness and access to school year and summer internship opportunities. These internships are in partnership through the Youth Employment Services (YES) Program, CARES Expanded Learning Program, and the district's Career Pathways Program. MDUSD has 16 worksite agreements with agencies and district departments. YES is a program designed to give vulnerable youth access to work based learning opportunities and academic and social-emotional support to obtain their high school diploma. Paid and unpaid internships will take place during the summer and school year for eligible students in both virtual and in-person where permissible. Paid internships will be funded by grants and donations.
