Summary: The District will require the services of a construction firm for use in support of district-wide building automation of the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and Lighting systems. This project will modernize our building’s HVAC and lighting, allowing the District to become cost efficient with our utilities.

On August 20, 2021 the District issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ 1896) for District-Wide Building Automation HVAC Systems and Lighting to begin a search for a construction firm to handle this project. Proposals were due October 7, 2021 and three (3) proposals were submitted of which all were determined to meet the District requirements for the proposed work. The three (3) firms that submitted the qualified proposals included Schneider Electric, Siemens, and SiteLogIQ. District staff completed the extensive reviews and considered relevant factors, including price, services, and experience. In conclusion, the panel recommends a pool of the most responsive and reasonable firms to handle these projects.

Therefore, is it recommended by district staff that the Board award RFQ 1896 to a pool of two (2) firms, Schneider Electric and SiteLogIQ for the district-wide building automation HVAC systems and lighting projects to be assigned as District deems fit.
Funding: To be determined by Facilities and CBO
Fiscal Impact To be determined and brought to the Board at a later time
