Summary:
|
Education Code 234.1, as amended by AB 9(Ch. 723, Statutes of 2011), requires the Governing Board to adopt policy prohibiting discrimination, harassment, intimidation, and bullying based on specific characteristics and requires school personnel who witness such acts to take immediate steps to intervene when safe to do so. Staff has revised BP 5132.2, Bullying, BP 5145.3 Nondiscrimination/Harassment And Transgender and BP 5145.7 Sexual Harassment to align with the requirements.
