Summary:
|
Laney Cline King will continue to work as project director for the MDUSD NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards) for 11 schools - Bancroft, El Monte, Fair Oaks, Gregory Gardens, Mt. Diablo, Pleasant Hill, Rio Vista, Sun Terrace, and Wren Ave. Elementary Schools and Oak Grove and Riverview Middle Schools. Continue collaboration/interaction with other entities that are also currently doing garden education including cooking/nutrition education and NGSS development.
The increase in the contract is to be able to purchase additional supplies for the gardens at all the schools listed above. The CDFA Grant covers purchases for mobile kitchen elements and the USDA Grant covers purchases for the Open Gardens showcase, signage, and capital improvements.
