Summary:
|
At the April 23, 2025 Board Meeting, the School Board approved the purchase of Do the Math Resource Kit Supplemental Math Materials. Based on teacher requests and summer school enrollment, staff is requesting approval of the purchase of additional kits, as the total cost exceeds the original estimated fiscal impact. Created by Marilyn Burns, a prominent math educator, Do The Math provides flexible, classroom-tested instruction for building numerical reasoning and confidence. Do the Math digital tools and hands-on resource kits would be used to target math skills for students in grades K-4 summer school classes, as well as be used for targeted support in the coming school year to address math learning needs based on data indicators.
