Summary: Purchase Order #221462 for vendor, Fat Cat Bakery is for Gourmet Bakery Products for the 2021-2022 school year. The original Purchase Order was for $24,000. Food & Nutrition Services staff is requesting an increase of $170,000 for the 2021-2022 school year totaling the Purchase Order #221462 for $194,000. Due to Procurement Supply Chain issues the USDA recommends school districts across the United States to procure from local manufacturers to be more successful receiving products to serve to students during the present supply chain crisis.
Funding: Cafeteria Account Fund 13
Fiscal Impact Increase of $170,000 to bring the total to $194,000. Total amount is within the Cafeteria Account Fund 13 Budget for the 2021-2022 school year.
Recommendation: Move to approve the $170,000 increase to Purchase Order #221462 with vendor, Fat Cat Bakery for Gourmet Bakery Products in the 2021-2022 school year.
