Summary:
|
Staff is requesting additional funding for the contract between Mt. Diablo Unified School District (MDUSD) and Maxim Healthcare Services (NPA) for the 2018/2019 school year. The Board approved the Maxim Contract on June 11, 2018 for $795,000 ($350,000.00 for Student Services and $445,000.00 for Special Education). Additional expenses incurred include staffing Behavior Technicians at three elementary schools, 5 additional students added to the caseload since February, an increase in other students' hours and coverage for Extended School Year. Maxim has also provided coverage for SEAs and district LVNs that are absent. This item is for an increase of $120,000 to cover the cost of the specialized health care services for IEP and Section 504 students.
