Summary:
At the September 23, 2019 Board Meeting, staff provided information regarding the status of the Fire Alarm Control Panel at the Central Services (M&O) Complex and a contract for replacing the existing panel to the District standard Edwards Fire Alarm Control Panel to allow for expansion of the system for the New Food & Nutrition Services Warehouse building and future fire alarm systems for both the Transportation Bus Garage AND the Purchasing & Warehouse Building.

At this time, staff is bringing forward proposals that include scope to expand the existing EST3 fire alarm system to the Transportation Bus Garage and the Purchasing & Warehouse Building. All work/systems would tie back to the new EST3 fire alarm control panel is located in the main electrical room for the Maintenance & Operations Building therefore making the Central Service Yard Fire Alarm System compliant.
