Summary:
This item was previously approved at the February 9, 2022 board meeting and is being slightly revised to better align with the salary schedule and to clarify the assignment for two of the six positions. In order to continue to respond to the current COVID pandemic, and to continue to ensure the District is fully prepared for students each day, staff is recommending that we increase the clerical substitute hourly rate to step 5/$25.21 per hour for positions where there is a high number of absences during the pandemic. These positions are:

Attendance Secretary,
Elementary School Secretary,
Office Manager,
Principal School Office Manager,
School Office Manager,
Senior School Office Manager

We are recommending we increase the substitute clerical hourly rate effective February 21, 2022 and that it remain in effect until June 2, 2022. Elementary Secretary and Attendance Secretary positions will work, and be compensated at step 5, as a Senior Secretary position.
