This position is being created to provide support for the significant increase in tasks and responsibilities in the Payroll Department, including the increase of timesheets of over 50% three years ago. The position will also help with a future transition to online timesheets, at which time we will reevaluate staffing in the entire department.

The Payroll Department will eliminate a Senior Account Clerk that has been vacant and unable to be filled for the last 13 months. The savings from the elimination will cover all but approximately $24, 258 of the position.
The increased cost to the District will be approximately $24,258.00 after the elimination of a vacant position.
