State Superintendent of Public Instruction, Tom Torlakson, announced Mt. Diablo Unified School District was recognized as Model School Attendance Review Board (SARB) for exemplary practices to reduce chronic absenteeism and increased student attendance. The Model SARB Awards were presented at the California Association of Supervisors of Child Welfare and Attendance State Conference on May 9, 2018 in Fresno. Linda Pete, Administrator, Student Services, serves as the SARB chairperson of the SARB Review Board. The Review Board is also supported by Child Welfare and Attendance Liaisons (CWAs), school nurses, and other supportive staff. |
