Food and Nutrition Services, working with Purchasing, has drafted a Request for Proposals for Food Packaging for the 2024-25 school year and plans to issue it in September 2024. In order to meet our needs for packaging to open schools, we are requesting an increase in the Purchase Order for Excellent Packaging to $114,000. We are transitioning away from plastic packaging to compostable packaging and replacing plastic wrapped "sporks" with compostable utensils and dispensers. |
