Summary:
|
The following courses: Food & Nutrition, Medical Science and Terminology, and Healthcare Essentials, are ones that have program status as California Partnership Courses on the UC Portal and will provide a-g status for these courses. Foods & Nutrition is being adopted to support the development of a nutrition elective strand within the International Hospitality and Tourism Academy at Mt. Diablo High School. Medical Science and Terminology and Healthcare Essentials are being adopted to support the transition to an allied health care strand within the Medical Biotechnology Academy at Mt. Diablo High School. Additionally, Healthcare Essentials will support a DVC dual enrollment class, Health Care Occupations, that will be offered within this academy in spring 2018. Finally, we will be looking to articulate the Medical Science and Terminology course with DVC and LMC. Course descriptions are attached. |
