Summary:

Public Schools are charged with not only supporting student achievement, but providing a safe environment. While gun violence on campus is rare, the occurrence of any threat to the safety of students is unacceptable on school campuses and safety of both students and staff is paramount. Attached you will find a board resolution on Student Safety. The board will consider adopting this resolution confirming their commitment to safe schools.
At the March 12, 2018, Board of Education Meeting, a subcommittee was formed to study the proposed Resolution and bring back a final document for Board consideration. That document is now being presented. |
