Summary
:
Education Code Section 17546 provides that the surplus personal property owned by the District may be disposed of at a private sale without advertising if the Board by a unanimous vote by those Board members present determine that the value of the surplus property is insufficient to defray the cost of arranging a sale. District staff have determined through independent market research that each piece of equipment listed in Exhibit “A” is valued at less than $2,500 and is suitable for disposal at a private sale without advertising.
